I got up this morning with a song playing in my head.
Not a great song. It’s not bad, but after 30+ hours it’s now a very annoying song, and it won’t Go Away.
All attempts to use other songs to blow it out have provided only temporary relief. After only a few minutes, it sneaks back into my brain like Bad Company.
I’m like that painting The Scream, hands smashed over my ears and screaming for relief. As much as I try, I Can’t Get It Out of My Head. No matter what I do, the damn song is Always On My Mind.
How did this happen? I think I let down my guard due to lack of good sleep. I’ve been Tossin’ and Turnin’ for a couple nights. When I do fall asleep, I seem unable to Dream On in any quality way.
What song, you ask? It’s from the 80’s and to be honest, you could guess till you found yourself In The Year 2525 and still You’ll Never Know.
It’s driving me crazy! Really I just wish I could Let It Go.
But I can’t. And so you must suffer with me.
Trying to preserve my optimism, I tell myself it could be worse.
