Sea of Books – Artsy Fartsy Friday

Sea of Books - feature
Sea of Books
Books. Big books.
I had this idea of large books. Really large books. Books so big they became landscapes unto themselves.

It was just one of those ideas I have occasionally when I’m whiling away some idle time. There wasn’t any deep significance to the idea. I just thought it would make for an interesting visual. I think I got the idea from one of my earlier works.

Looking at it now, I guess you could make some deep profound statement about the real meaning of this image.

You would be wrong.

It’s just a doodle that got out of control.

  1. Oh, I see Sigmas everywhere! oO

The logo on the first big book’s spine reminds me a bit of the logo of a slovenian books publisher: MK (Mladinska knjiga).

Nice illustration and interesting atmosphere (cold and wet, may I say), haha 🙂
    Keep up the good work.

Also best regards from the MacRumors forum 😀

    1. Thanks for dropping by, PeterO!

Yes, I probably added sigma’s here and there on the spines without thinking about it. It’s “my” symbol after all and it simply comes naturally to me.

See you around on the Forum.
